About The Deep End Guide
The Deep End Guide exists to make one thing less intimidating: learning to swim as an adult. It starts with a feeling many people know well — standing at the edge of the water, sure that everyone else finds this easy — and it gets better with calm, specific, judgment-free guidance.
Who this site helps
If you're an adult who never learned to swim, or who feels nervous in the water, our Learn to Swim and Swim Skills guides break everything into small, doable steps. There's no judgment here — plenty of adults can't swim yet, and it's completely fixable. Whatever your age or starting point, you can learn.
Who writes it
Jordan Rivers — Adult-beginner swimmer who learned later in life. TODO: replace with the real author's genuine credentials/experience (e.g. 'Red Cross Water Safety Instructor,' 'former lifeguard,' 'adult swim-lesson coach').. Jordan learned to swim as a nervous adult and now writes The Deep End Guide from that first-hand experience — turning the fear, the false starts, and the small breakthroughs into calm, practical steps for other adult beginners. TODO: replace with a REAL author's name and genuine experience before launch. E-E-A-T depends on a verifiable person; this bio models the kind of first-hand-experience framing to use, but must describe a real individual.
How this site works
The Deep End Guide is free to read. If we ever add product recommendations or ads to help cover costs, we'll be upfront about it and only ever suggest things we'd genuinely recommend to a friend — see our affiliate disclosure for how that works.
